This past week, I received two packages from my parents and grandmother. They were stuffed full of books, crayons, snacks, and other teaching materials. I brought a few things with to class on Friday and the kids just loved them! One of the older girls that I was working with for most of the day, loved the new dry erase board that she could practice her math and English on. My parents also sent me a few sets of Bob books for learning how to read. I brought the first set for Salome to try. She was so excited and proud of herself because she had never read an entire book before!

So thanks Mom and Dad! You just helped a little girl in Africa read her first book!
